KALIAGANJ POLICE STATION

Kaliyaganj Police Station is located between the latitude 25*38 North and between the longitudes 88*19 East and it is one of the towns of Uttar Dinajpur District. It is an Indo Bangladesh bordering PS and has inter district border with South Dinajpur District. There are many markets such as Tarabazar, Mahendraganj Bazar, Dhankail Bazar etc. It is to be noted here that there is an important as well as old haat named Dhankail Haat which is held every Monday. This is a mixed populated area (hindu+muslim) and also inhabited by considerable number of Rajbanshi community people. There are some small scale industries in Kaliyaganj. One Town out post is functioning under this P.S to maintain L/O duty and some scheduled duties with a view to prevent crime. There are some important religious places falling under this PS viz. (1) Baira Kali Mandir (2) Nat Mandir (3) Loknath Mandir etc. There is one international Check-post at Radhikapur under this PS.
